"Matters of the Mind and Heart", is a psycho-educational consulting organization that advocates for mental health and provides relatable psychoeducation through a multicultural lens. We help busy people find caring, professional, and culturally competent therapists, we facilitate workshops, speak at conferences, churches, schools, small groups, parent groups, corporate meetings, and the like. We also offer individualized college and independent school admissions support services for families. We specialize in consultation, youth development, and holistic psychological and educational support for individuals and families.
D'Anne Lewis is the CEO of Matters of the Mind and Heart, . She has a Master of Science in Education and is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Ms. Lewis is a behavioral consultant, mental health advocate, conference speaker, and mother. She has served in both the public sector and independent school system, as a School Psychologist and Counselor, as well as consulting as a Behavioral Specialist for an organization that helps black and brown students enter competitive Independent schools. Her family hails from the small but mighty island of Jamaica, West Indies and she prides herself on being a culturally competent service provider who loves diversity and family. Jamaica’s motto is “Out of Many, One People.” And D’Anne believes that across the board for humanity.
Our CEO is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists,she has served as a youth leader and is an active member in her local church.
